Email Setup - Thunderbird - SMTP
Enable SMTP-Authentication for Thunderbird
1. Open Thunderbird.
2. Click ‘Tools’ then ‘Account settings’ from the drop down menu.

3. Click the ‘Outgoing Server (SMTP) Tab

4. Select your user name (username@tbaytel.net in this example) from the available accounts and click edit or double click your user name.

5. Verify user name is a TBayTel account

6. Change the 'Outgoing mail (SMTP)' port from the default of 25 to 587. This will allow you to use our mail server from anywhere.

7. TBayTel’s mail server supports TLS so one can check the ‘TLS if available’ box under the ‘Use Secure Connection’ option.
8. Click ‘Ok’ and you’re done!
